Diagnostics provide data on the efficiency & safety of your vehicle
All cars now have some form of engine management systems or Computer diagnostics and many other kinds of technology on board. They run and monitor the internal & external workings of your vehicle every time we start, stop, move or operate it. One of their most important functions is to warn you if the vehicle is not performing as determined it should do by it's manufacturer. This not only ensures the efficient running of the vehicle more importantly keeps us safe by monitoring the engine, safety systems, ABS braking, Anti-Slip, engine coolants and so much more to let us know when they are not operating correctly or safely.
Most people usually only become aware of the functions of these computers when one of the fault lights suddenly appears on the dashboard to let you know there MAY be a problem. Most people then go to the vehicle owners manual to read "proceed to an authorised dealer as soon as possible" The problem is the light can sometimes disappear, the light can remain on even though you think you have cleared the fault. Once the vehicle is connected to our diagnostics equipment it MAY just be a case of resetting the fault light.

Getting it right
Whatever your vehicle, we are able to connect to your car, read the "fault" that caused the light to illuminate and begin to diagnose the cause. It is a combination of the skills and knowledge of the mechanic interpreting the diagnostics from the computer that will determine the quality and accuracy of any remedial work done.
